„Never fear shadows, for shadows only mean there is a light shining somewhere near by.” – Oscar Wilde

I found these dead animals during walks and bicycle rides. They were laying alone, left to decay and pass into oblivion. Beings that are part of the universe, living in symbiosis with man. I want to save them, honour them and give them life again in my photos. In order to honour the animal, I decorated it with flowers and other elements of nature. These elements highlight the meaning of their existence and the beauty of their souls when they were still alive. I pay tribute, full of respect for this natural world, and I am becoming more and more familiar with mortality. I used the Lument Prints technique – the photographic paper is directly exposed to sunlight. The image gives the impression of etherealness and transience. Everything is connected, its all inevitable and fleeting, just like life and death and beauty
