Ghost Town – Czarnobyl
On April 26, 1986, the explosion of the Chernobyl reactor forever changed the lives of millions. 164 settlements were displaced, and Pripyat – once a vibrant city – became a symbol of catastrophe and a ghost town.Abandoned schools, playgrounds, the hospital and amusement park remain silent witnesses of interrupted lives. Most poignant are the apartments, where traces of everyday existence still linger – stories suspended in time.
Today, nature reigns over the Zone. Ruins are covered with greenery, flowers break through the rubble, and animals have reclaimed their space. In a world shaped by tragedy, it is nature that proves to be the strongest force of renewal.
